The Proctor Police Department has an authorized strength of seven police officers and two civilian personnel serving 3,050 residents. Every employee is dedicated to providing the highest level of professional service to the citizens, businesses and visitors we serve.
The Proctor Police Department is a progressive agency committed to the philosophy of “community policing.” Many people refer to community policing as a strategy or tactic. However, we believe it is much more than that. It is a total philosophy. The two essential elements to this philosophy include quality, personalized service and a customer service orientation.
We have adopted a problem-solving model of policing in which we address the root causes of problems rather than implementing only a quick fix. Employees are encouraged to try new and otherwise non-traditional policing methods to resolve community problems and/or concerns.
It is our hope and desire that you will take advantage of the many opportunities to be involved in your community, i.e., Neighborhood Watch, National Night Out, etc., or volunteering your services within the community.
